Dryer Belt Repair - Commercial Appliance Repair

One of the most common problems you will run into with dryers is a bad or slipping belt, but this is usually an easy fix. Make sure to check YouTube for a tutorial, but most of the time the dryer has screws in the top panel that come out so you can lift the "lid" of the dryer. After this you can access the belt and take the old one out. The important part of putting a new one on is making sure that you attach it to the tensioner, which will exert more friction on your dryer barrel. While this is a simple DIY task, many Commercial Appliance Repair technicians follow the same basic steps. After this you can place the "lid" down and screw it together once again. Congratulations, you've just done your first dryer repair!

Dryer Heating Element Replacement

Replacing a heating element on a dryer is also a very common occurance. This is a fairly easy fix. Remove the back panel of the dryer. usually on the right hand side of the unit is where you will find screws to remove the heating element. It is important that you always unplug the dryer before starting any repairs. Once here, you can remove the leads that power the heating element, unscrew it, and replace it with the new one. Put on the back panel and screw it in and you are up and running once again!
